Our sources do not list EM95 for a Power 9 machine type. Some sellers still list it for Power 9. Before you buy, confirm it against your exact machine type.

EM95 is Power 8 memory. Midland lists it for the Power 8 S814 (8286-41A), S824 (8286-42A), and S824L (8247-42L). Power 8 servers use custom memory modules called CDIMMs. Power 9 scale-out servers use standard DDR4 DIMMs such as EM62, EM63, EM64, and EM65.

    If you need IBM i 7.6, or want five or more years of IBM support, price a replacement. IBM i 7.6 does not run on any Power 9.
